Streaming Donations
ByteConnect integrates with streaming platforms to enable cryptocurrency donations during live broadcasts, with customizable alerts and StreamLabs integration.
Overview
Section titled “Overview”Enable your viewers to send crypto donations that appear as real-time alerts on your stream, just like traditional donation platforms but with cryptocurrency.
Setting Up Streaming Donations
Section titled “Setting Up Streaming Donations”1. Enable Streaming Mode
Section titled “1. Enable Streaming Mode”- Log into your Merchant Portal
- Navigate to Settings > Streaming
- Toggle Enable Streaming Donations
- Configure your preferences
2. Connect StreamLabs
Section titled “2. Connect StreamLabs”- Click Connect StreamLabs
- Authorize ByteConnect to send alerts
- Test the connection with a test alert
3. Get Your Donation Link
Section titled “3. Get Your Donation Link”Your unique donation URL:

Customization Options

Message Moderation
Section titled “Message Moderation”- Auto-approve - Show all messages immediately
- Manual approval - Review messages before display
- Keyword filter - Block specific words or phrases
Donation Page
Section titled “Donation Page”Your donation page includes:
- Your profile/logo
- Supported cryptocurrencies
- Amount input field
- Message field for donors
- QR code for payment
Customizing Your Page
Section titled “Customizing Your Page”- Upload a profile image
- Add a custom message/description
- Set suggested donation amounts
- Choose which cryptocurrencies to accept
StreamLabs Integration
Section titled “StreamLabs Integration”Alert Types
Section titled “Alert Types”Donation alerts appear in StreamLabs with:
- Donor name/username
- Donation amount (USD equivalent)
- Cryptocurrency used
- Custom message
Alert Format

Section titled “Supported Cryptocurrencies”Viewers can donate using:
- Bitcoin (BTC)
- Lightning Network (instant!)
- Ethereum (ETH)
- Litecoin (LTC)
- Bitcoin Cash (BCH)
- Dash (DASH)
- Dogecoin (DOGE)
Receiving Payouts
Section titled “Receiving Payouts”Streaming donations are accumulated in your merchant account. Configure payouts to receive funds:
- Lightning - Instant, no minimum
- Bitcoin - 0.01 BTC minimum
- USD (ACH) - $200 minimum
- USDT - 200 USDT minimum

- Pin in chat during streams

Engage with Donors

Optimize Settings

- Use appropriate message character limits
- Test alerts before going live
- Have backup payment methods
Troubleshooting

- Verify alert settings in both platforms
- Test with a small donation
- Check StreamLabs alert box is active
Donations Not Appearing
Section titled “Donations Not Appearing”- Verify your donation link is correct
- Check transaction status in admin panel
- Ensure streaming mode is enabled
- Contact support if issues persist
